We did get out for a nice walk on Friday when it finally stopped raining for a while in the afternoon. Nick ended up running the engine for over an hour to recharge our batteries.
We got a close look at the new Our Fisherman, Our Guardian carving installed last August in Austin Park at the estuary. Very impressive.

The Lady KD crew joined us Saturday morning. We lunched at the Tides Tavern, took another walk, and went back to the boats for dinner and fun times.
Steve and Tracey left us today:

A couple of interesting things have happened.
Last evening the four of us were enjoying ourselves on Lady KD's fly bridge when we all saw...and heard...a small power boat go racing along the far shore. The guy must have been doing 50 miles per hour. It was crazy! Really wish the police boat had been around to bust this idiot. Wish I had a photo, but it happened very fast. We have no idea where he went.
And then this afternoon, we were all on the bridge again and saw a 40-foot (at least) sail boat (blue hulled, named Charlie) coming our way...under sail. It seemed to be going faster than we thought it should be...in this No Wake Zone bay. It tacked back and forth a couple of times before it got to us, around other anchored boats, turned again after it passed us, then went by again. The wake this guy put out rocked the hell out of our boats, which were rafted. We yelled at the captain to slow down. (Yes, I called him a bad name.) There were quite a few people on board and they all did their best to totally ignore us. I did get a wave from one of the passengers that was really a brush off "whatever" kind of a wave. But they did slow down, and then sailed back out of the harbor. Again, police please!
What is wrong with people!
