Boat Loads

Two more boats showed up at the dock in Conover Cove last Tuesday. Still, a very peaceful and beautiful setting.
Wednesday morning, however, several large inflatables began bringing kayaks and people in from a small cruise ship parked out of sight in the channel. The Nat Geo Quest was offloading groups to hike the island and kayak in the cove. We were told there were about 60 people and that they would be out of there by 12:30pm. The event coordinator from the ship brought us wine as a thank you for invading our space. Nice gesture!
Later that afternoon, we took our own kayaks out of Conover and around to Princess Cove. This was some of the best kayaking I've ever experienced. We found Princess Cove to be quite a bit larger, with lots of stern tie chains. In the future, we'll probably anchor there.
I've mentioned I've been experiencing some technical challenges with blogging. I think I've figured out a work-around, so hopefully I'll be making some posts over the next few weeks that will cover happenings over the past couple of months, in addition to updates on current experiences.
