Our cruise from Eagle Harbor to Langley on Thursday was quite cold and dreary but the water was nice and calm. We took a stroll through town and heated up some homemade chili for dinner.
Yesterday (Friday) however, was splendid! Smooth water plus lots of sunshine. Really, a beautiful day on the water.
A gulp of cormorants on the rocks entering the Swinomish Channel:

Yes, a group of comorants is called a "gulp." Who knew.
At some point I contacted our Salish Nomad friend Dave regarding our planned arrival at Skyline. He reminded us that the Cap Sante lighted boat parade is this weekend, so we changed our itinerary. Instead of landing in La Conner yesterday, we moved on around the corner to Anacortes. Two free nights of guest moorage for decorated boats! (Including power!)
Upon arriving and getting ToG secured, we hopped up to Sebo's for some blue lights. Voila! (Icicle lights courtesy of Salish Nomad friend Jean.)

The other part of this whole change in plans involves our ride home - Steve & Tracey. They'll arrive this afternoon and stay on the boat with us to enjoy the parade tonight. What fun! (This may become an annual tradition.)
