Crabs! - Roche to Fisherman

We lunched at San Juan Brewing on Sunday. This photo is to remind us that we really like the Foxtail Hazy Pale better than Yachter's Daughter.

Got some close-ups of a turkey vulture scavenging on the Roche Harbor shore:

We finally got a couple of crabs! Literally, just two crabs. And one of them had a soft shell, so the meat was sparse. Anyway, enough for a meal! (Everyone we've talked with reports low Dungeness numbers. Hope we can get enough to feed people at Kit's next week!)
It was quite windy in Roche Harbor until we woke up yesterday morning (Tuesday). We hung out for a while as we didn't want to arrive to Fisherman Bay (Lopez Island) before the tide was up enough to transit the entrance. So, we cruised very slowly. Even after waiting for a plus one and a half tide it was a little dicey.
Good to be back in one of our favorite places. Had a nice evening on the upper deck just gazing at the scenery...and enjoying some wine.

One may wonder why I took a photo like this:

It's because the water here is such an amazing green!
Today will be warm (low 80's). After some early morning chores (windows), we plan to visit Lopez Village and get a few groceries.
