The weather has been fantastic! Hard to believe it is still this pleasant at the end of September. In the low 70's and still really warm in the sun.
Our cruise from Vancouver into U.S. waters and Friday Harbor was calm, if a bit long.
Much to our pleasant surprise, the marina in Friday Harbor is adding a recycling area up by the trash compactor.
We considered staying an additional night, just to take advantage of the last vestiges of summer, but I think we are both feeling the call from our "main" home, so off we went.
A note to say how much we appreciate the "stay 4 nights, get a night free" program at Friday Harbor!
Another very calm Strait of Juan de Fuca crossing:
This sea lion was massive!
After arriving at Boat Haven in Port Townsend, we took a walk into town to take a look at the work underway at Point Hudson. The marina is closed while they replace the breakwater. The only boats moored right now are those associated with the adjacent boat yard.
Beautiful sky this morning:
We plan to eat at Sea J's this morning a nearby restuarant with a reputation for a good breakfast!
