Touch of Gray and Coorie Doon entered Pendrell Sound, motoring most of the way up to a small area (Oyster Cove) tucked behind a tiny island. Just one other boat. We both anchored in about 60 feet of water and stern tied to shore.

Nick and I jumped in our kayaks and paddled into the little lagoon...good thing, because the access dries at low tide. It was quite picturesque, with an old barge of some sort (logging?).

Got some great shots of the boats in this lovely spot.

There was a fire some years ago so part of the scenery is scarred:

About that warm water....

Not as warm as we expected. I didn't go in at all, but Steve, Jeanie, and Nick all took a dip.

Low tide the next morning exposed TONS of oysters...and put our boats a little close to shore.

Our plan was to stay two nights but without the promise of really good swimming, we left after taking the dinghy (along with Coorie Doon) to the head of the sound. Not much there except one small aquaculture area.

We opted for Refuge Cove, just about 15 miles away. This place is written up well but we were disappointed. Granted, it technically closed on the 15th, but it is extremely run down. VERY rustic.

So, we got back on the boats and went back to Lund. I did NOT think I would be back here
