Desolation Sound 2022 | Pender Harbour to Lund

ToG and CD entered Pender Harbour yesterday after a smooth-as-glass crossing from Vancouver Island. This harbour is convoluted, with many nooks and crannies.

Both boats found space at Madeira Public Wharf, a nice spot with a very detailed recycling area.

We walked to the store, bakery, and a couple of shops, then dinghied around to check out some of the channels, anchorage spots, and resort marinas (empty!).

We all walked up the hill to the Grasshopper Pub for drinks and dinner. Great selection and really good food. My Cottage Pie was a winner!

This unfortunate sparrow hit our window after we departed this morning, landing on the gunwhale. He either fell overboard (burial at sea) or flew away. It did not look good for the bird.

This humpback breached very close to the boat!

We pulled in to Lund this afternoon, to a very busy wharf, where Coorie Doon rafted to ToG at the dock. More about Lund next time!
