Home Until...?

Our plan was to spend the night at Blake Island last night to break up the trip from Langley to Tacoma.
As we cruised through rain and gloom we decided to skip Blake and continue south toward home.
The weather cleared as we approached Tacoma. We got in after 4pm and were pooped after a long day cruising. What about boating makes us so tired? Not sure, but maybe all the bouncing around all day and being tuned in constantly to water conditions. Taking turns at the helm each hour definitely helps.
Since we had a quite a few things to do we decided to just take a break and stay on the boat overnight.
We're now home and getting ready for a busy couple of weeks. Nick and Caleb are going crabbing, and of course the pinks are running so fishing will be a high priority. My cousin from Juneau will be with us for a few days and of course we'll spend time with Malcolm and Ren. We've been out for 35 days and it's nice to be home. We'll head out again when Nick has caught as many pink salmon as he can and it's all smoked and frozen. Let's hope for better luck fishing for salmon than we had crabbing!!!
