ToG departed slip R5 at the Foss Harbor Marina for the last time yesterday morning. We've had three boats at FHM and have been pleased with the facilities and staff.
After morning fog cleared, the day turned quite nice and we enjoyed a smooth cruise up Colvos Pass. Lots of seasonal bird life on the water! (Rhinocerous auklets, short-billed gulls, Bonaparte gulls, maybe ancient murrelets! Lots of double-crested cormorants, throats gleaming gold in the sun, surf scoters, common and Barrows goldeneyes, bald eagles, and a few I wasn't sure about.)
Our first stop along the way is the public dock in Eagle Harbor. Just one other boat at the dock:

We haven't decorated this boat for the holidays but I couldn't pass up the bright bow on the free table at the Winslow Marina (pictured above).
We ate at Proper Fish for dinner last evening. Meh. Nick liked his fish and chips but isn't sure they live up to the hype (BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN SEATTLE!) My fried oysters were mostly breading, and overcooked (despite claims of cooking until "just done").
The photo below is courtesy of our daughter, who was gifted these "Holy Frijoles" at an office holiday party:

And Ramble On's (AT 395 belonging to friends Shannon & Steve) boathouse all decked out for the season! Nicley done, Steve!

We woke to light rain, although it doesn't look foggy. We'll make our way to Langley today, then on to La Conner on Friday. We expect to arrive at Skyline some time before noon on Saturday, where our freinds Tracey & Steve will pick us up.

Happy Holidays! 🙂
