No, we didn't see brown pelicans. Our son and family are camping in Canon Beach and this is his photo of my favorite birds!
Our second day in Poulsbo was much cooler. The four of us had lunch at the Brass Kraken.
We left yesterday morning after a visit to the farmers market, Lady KD going north through Agate Pass, and ToG taking the southern route back through Rich Passage, to meet up in Eagle Harbor, Bainbridge. They found space at the dock; we threw out the anchor. There were several openings at the dock through the afternoon, and the host mentioned they've had a slow season so far.
After watching a boat come in, try to park in front of the pump-out station (where you aren't supposed to park) and then hitting the boat behind him and the dock a few times before giving up and going out to anchor (not near us!), things settled down and we enjoyed some wine with Steve and Tracey before saying our goodbyes and parting company.
I've taken this shot of Seattle from Eagle Harbor many times and this is one of the most clear:

We weighed anchor by 6:45am for a long-ish day to La Conner. ToG passed Coorie Doon and crew just north of Langley, as they head south to await the birth of their fifth grandchild!
See our article in the July Waggoner Cruising Guide newsletter here.
P.S. Nick was not flying the bird. That was a partial, in-progress peace sign.
