Beautiful weather during our stay on Thetis Island!

As planned we, along with the Z's+Gus, walked to the ferry terminal and spent a couple of hours in Chemainus.

We had lunch again at the Sawmill Taproom and then caught the ferry back to Thetis.

While at Telegraph Harbor marina we caught up with a young guy, Michael, we met in False Creek (Vancouver) last year. (Coincidentally, it's his brother, Jaime, that purchased the marina earlier this year.) When asked about his cruising speed his response was, "six and a bit." Same as us but I like the way he says it, so I'm sticking with it!

Saturday both boats departed for Ganges, staying in the Salt Spring Marina. The Kanaka wharf docks were full with some sort of old tug convention - cool boats.

We parted company with Coorie Doon this morning and headed back across the border to Jones Island.

We had a HELL of a time clearing customs due to glitchy technology. Not a story worth telling. Thought we were going to have to go to Friday Harbor. It finally worked and we were able to find dock space in the north cove of Jones.

This is such a nice little gem of an island, with great trails:

We may spend two nights here, not sure. We'll see what the weather does.

Technically we are "on our way home" but we have over a week and a half to get there so we'll take our time. Nick really wants to try crabbing again. Hoping for better luck!
